We’ve been looking for a new house for the last 7 years but encountered various challenges to secure a home loan as we were posted overseas for work assignment. The rapidly increasing house prices year on year (some may even argued month on month) in NZ doesn’t help our cause either. In general the main banks in NZ have strict criteria and requirement when it comes down to the lending for foreign sourced employment income. Then COVID pandemic came and the Reserve Bank’s revised LVR kicked in that made getting a home loan seems almost impossible. It was indeed God sent that Matt was introduced to us through a mutual church friend. Matt was very professional and rational in his whole approach from the first day he met up with us. At no time and circumstance did we ever feel like we’re being asked or influenced to do something that we don’t want to. Matt was able to leverage his financial advisor experience, first hand knowledge of the property scene and coupled with his years of experience dealing with tiers 1 and 2 banks and financial institutes, to help us plan for getting a new house. Matt spent time in understanding our financial situation and commitments, and offered plenty of sound advices in terms of how to structure and secure a home loan. He was very responsive in addressing our queries on property, bank and financial matters. He was there to support us from getting the pre-approve home loan, offering his views on what properties and locations to go for and even during the actual bidding process. Matt has a large network of connections with the major banks and other tier 2, is a plus point. He is well supported by his team in Kingdom Homes. This is only the start of our journey with Matt and his Kingdom Homes as he excels in after service customer care and will have regular touch points to work on growing our personal wealth and portfolio.
